A Port Arthur man died after his pickup truck struck a tree and overturned Monday in Burleson County.

The deceased is identified as Jeffery Discher, 37.

Discher was traveling on County Road 123 in the town of Caldwell, Texas when his truck struck a tree and overturned in a nearby pasture, according to information from Texas Department of Public Safety.

Justice of the Peace Johnny Towslee was called to the scene and pronounced Discher deceased.

A passerby discovered the crash ad mad the call at 8:10 a.m. Monday. Troopers are investigating to find the exact time of the accident.
