NEDERLAND — Due to the anticipated impacts of next week’s winter weather event, the City of Nederland will be shutting off water service to customers who request the shut-off.

City crews will be working over the weekend to handle these work orders, according to information from the city.

• Customers must call the utility billing office at 409-723-1512 by no later than 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18. Calls received after 4 p.m. will not be answered.
• The water will be shut-off on Sunday after 8 a.m. but WILL NOT BE TURNED BACK ON UNTIL WEDNESDAY at the earliest.
• Customers must call 409-723-1512 to request the water be turned back on and the customer MUST BE PRESENT at the service location when the water is turned back on.
