PAPD seeking person of interest in homicide

Port Arthur Police have identified a person of interest in Friday’s murder of Michael Reed.
PAPD would like to speak with Eric McWilliams, who is in his late 30s, Maj. Raymond Clark said.
A family member of Michael Reed, 29, found him unresponsive at a home in the 1700 block of 10th Street around 12:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18.
It is unknown at this time how long the man was deceased.
Reed’s injuries were consistent with being attacked and after a thorough examination of the crime scene police are treating the death as a homicide.
Investigators will continue to interview family, friends and neighbors in an attempt to determine the circumstances surrounding his death, according to a press release from PAPD.
