Paul Erving Lewis, Jr., 63, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at his residence.
Paul was born February 5, 1952, to the late Paul Erving Lewis, Sr. and Mary Stannie Lewis, in Loreauville, LA.  While raised in Beaumont, TX, Paul was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of Beaumont.  Paul was a retired member of the United States Airforce, 2854th Air Base Group.  He served between the years of 1970 and 1975.  Paul was also a retired carpenter.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Darrylene Lewis and Dwight Lewis.  He is survived by his sister, Patricia Lewis Ledet; uncle Earl Lewis (Jessie), his aunts, Sylvia James (Jesse) and Mary Myrtle Williams; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. with his funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in Port Arthur, TX.  Associate Pastor Robert Collins will be officiating.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Park, Nederland, Texas under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
