Beatrice G. Andris, 68, of Port Arthur, passed away Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at LifeCare Hospitals of Plano in Plano with her daughters at her side.
Beatrice was born April 18, 1947, in Lafayette, La., to Joseph and Agnes Guidry. She resided in Port Arthur all her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Ishmail Andris; sisters, Beaulah Morris and Zara Broussard; and brother, John Guidry.
Beatrice is survived by four daughters, Sharon Jenkins (Paul) of Kemah, Patrice Adindu of Lewisville, Tonya Whitaker of Plano, and Schmeka Andris of Little Elm; two brothers, Warren Guidry Sr. (Maline) of Port Arthur and Thomas Guidry of Houston; three sisters, Laura Horton of Houston, and Bessie Daniels (Willard) and Mildred Jackson, both of Port Arthur; six grandchildren, Darelle Flores (Frank) of Beaumont, Branden Hart of Kemah, Briana Adindu of Lewisville, and Torry Andris, Rebekah Andris, and Lydia Andris, all of Plano; one great-grandchild, Micah Ndukaku of Beaumont; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
A celebration of Beatrice’s life is planned for 3 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2016, at Stonebriar Funeral Home, 10375 Preston Road in Frisco, Texas.
