Arthur Henry, Jr., age 69, passed away on March 11, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas, doing what he loved most, chasing basketball games. Born in St. Martinville, LA, Arthur grew up in Port Arthur, Texas and was a 1966 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School. He was a United States Air Force veteran and retired from Motiva/Shell Oil with 35 years of service. He also served in the Texas Army National Guard for 12 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Sr. and Mazel Mitchell Henry and his brother Chester Henry.
He leaves to cherish precious memories his wife Rose Ann Malvo Henry; children, Jason Dumes (Mesha), Kevin Henry (Sheena), Dana Broussard, Rochelle Rogers (Kevin); sister Mary Henry Neal; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Homegoing services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Eastern Star Baptist Church, 548 15th Street, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
