LSCPA softball takes two from Coastal Bend

The Lamar State College Port Arthur Seahawks softball team swept a pair of Region XIV games against Coastal Bend College on Friday.
LSCPA (23-21) defeated Coastal Bend 10-2 in the opener behind three hits from Anessa Sanchez and two hits and two RBI from McKenzie Andrus.
Maddison Ohler got the win on the mound. She had one strikeout.
Angelica Rogers was the winner in the second game, a 9-1 Seahawks win. Rogers threw five innings and struck out two batters.
Breyn Pulcher had two hits and four RBI for the Seahawks, who outhit Coastal Bend 23-6 in the two games.
LSCPA hosts Laredo College for a doubleheader Saturday starting at 1 p.m.
