Sign-up for this year’s 2016 Groves Pecan Festival Queen’s Scholarship Pageant will begin on Wednesday, June 1, and end on Wednesday, July 13. Girls age 3 years to 12^th grade who live in Groves may pick up applications at the Groves Chamber of Commerce. Completed applications will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.

Categories go by grade and the categories are: Petite Miss, 3yrs.- PK; Little Miss, K – 1^st grade; Duchess, 2^nd – 3^rdgrade; Countess, 4^th– 5^th grade; Junior Miss, 6^th– 7^th grade; Princess, 8^th – 9^th grade; Queen, 10^th – 12^th grade. Each category will be limited to 15 contestants. Once the category is filled, no more applications will be accepted.. This year’s pageant will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17^th.

Contestants in the Queen’s Division will compete for the following scholarship amounts:

Queen – $1,000 Scholarship

1^st Runner-up – $750 Scholarship

2^nd Runner-up – $500 Scholarship

Applications must be picked up and returned completed with registration fees by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, to the Groves Chamber of Commerce office.  No late applications will be accepted.    Contestants must live in Groves.
