BEAUMONT — Beaumont Police have released the names of the two victims who died after their car struck a tree shortly after midnight Thursday morning.

The two male victims are Jesse Martinez, 17, of Beaumont and Alejandro Rene Mendoza, 19, of Nederland.

Officers responded to the crash around 12:30 a.m. in the 800 block of 10th Street. The men had been ejected from the car when it crashed into a tree at a high rate of speed, according to a press release from the BPD.
