Leroy (Ace) Ballou Jr.

On December 9, 1955 in Los Angeles, California Leroy Ballou Sr. and Bobbie Jean Nichols Ballou welcomed the birth of their first born, Leroy Ballou Jr.

Leroy, affectionately known to all as “ACE”, went on to graduate from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1974. After a tour in the United States Marine Corp, Ace began a lifelong journey of discovery that took him to many destinations around the world.

Ace was multi-skilled taking on a variety of jobs over the years, refusing to be defined by his occupation. Ace was a gifted in the field of heavy equipment mechanics working primarily with boilers, chillers, pumps and motors.

Leroy (Ace) Ballou Jr. transitioned from this life on September 4, 2016 preceded in death by grandparents Fred Ballou Sr. and Flossie Ballou, his father Leroy Ballou Sr. and a sister Sharon Michelle Ballou.

Cherishing the memory of this life lived to its fullest is Leroy’s mother, Bobbie Jean Nichols Ballou of Port Arthur, TX, grandmother Lenora English of Call, TX, sister Jacqueline Ballou Credit (Moses) of Port Arthur, TX, brother Larry Ballou (Harriet Letrice) of Missouri City, TX, and sister Shirlene Ballou Dugas of Port Arthur, TX. as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, dear cousins and dear friends.

There will be a memorial service at Paradise Baptist Church 227 FM 365, Port Arthur, TX 77640 on Sep 17th from 12 noon to 1:30 pm.
