Raymond Francis Meyer, Jr. “Butch”, 56 passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at his home in Austin. Butch was born on April 14, 1960 in Port Arthur, Texas. He was the son of Lucy Meyer and the late Raymond Meyer, Sr. Butch was a 1979 graduate of Bishop Byrne High School and shortly after moved to Austin. His heart was there and it would be where he spent most of his life. He enjoyed music, spending time with family and friends, cutting hair and resale shopping. He loved animals especially his best buddy Frank, his beloved Pug who went with him everywhere. Butch was a fun and outgoing person with a colorful personality and style that was all his own. He could light up a room with his smile and laughter. He left us many memories and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

 He is survived by his mother, Lucy; sister, Sharon Cates and husband Brad; nephews, Corey and Michael Beenen, his niece, Jennifer Beenen, and great nieces Cortlyn Beenen and JoLee Hollier.

 A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Company D, 343 N. Twin City Hwy., Nederland, Texas.
