James Walton DeCuir

James Walton DeCuir, 84, of Port Arthur passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Groves, TX.

James, a native and lifelong resident of Port Arthur, retired from Texaco Chemical in Port Arthur in 1993 as an Operator in the additives area with 43 years of service.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Louella DeCuir; his parents, Walton DeCuir and Yolande Broussard; and his brother, Ronnie DeCuir. He is survived by his son, Tim DeCuir (Lynell) of Kountze; daughters, Pam Morvant (Keith) of Kountze, Ellen Hebert of Port Neches and Julie Thibodeaux of Groves; sisters-in-law, Nancy Guidry, Elsie Bertrand and Shirley DeCuir. Mr. DeCuir also leaves behind grandchildren, Jason DeCuir (Zenovia), Jada Akiona (Glenn), Jamie Grahlfs (Zach), Chad DeCuir (Alicia), Phillip Key (Valerie), Travis Key (Kayla) and Tayler Thibodeaux and 12 great-grandchildren to cherish his memories.

The family would like to give special thanks to Magnolia Manor and Harbor Hospice for their loving care and concern for James.

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Mr. James Walton DeCuir will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home.
