PA man injured in shooting outside Wellborn’s

Police in Port Arthur were called to a shooting outside Welborn’s, 440 Procter St. shortly before midnight Friday and found evidence of a shooting but no victim, according to a press release from Port Arthur Police Department.
Officers were able to locate numerous spent shell casings/cartridges and a weapon — but no victim. The crime scene unit was called in to photograph and collect evidence.
Then, about 45 minutes later, a shooting victim arrived at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas emergency room via private vehicle.
The victim, a 24-year-old Port Arthur man, was treated for a gunshot wound to his back/upper torso and was listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.
