Rock-A-Noos still rocking

The Port Neches-Groves Rock-A-Noos are headed to the regional volleyball quarterfinals for the first time in 12 years after a four-set win over Galveston Ball in Class 5A Friday.

PNG won the match 25-12, 25-17, 20-25 and 26-24.

It was a revenge night for PNG, who lost on Aug. 8 to Galveston Ball in the Dickinson tournament.

The Rock-A-Noos, ranked No. 8 in Class 5A by the Texas Girls Coaches Association, now face No. 6 Barbers Hill.

Barbers Hill dispatched Shadow Creek in three sets Thursday by the scores of 25-11, 25-11 and 25-15.
