Christopher, (Chris), Thaddeus Alpough, 60, was born in Port Arthur, Texas to his loving parents, Udolph Thaddeus Alpough and Barbara Jean (Garlow) Alpough, on September 27, 1956. From this holy matrimony, Chris accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age growing up as the second oldest child of six; first attending Sacred Heart Catholic Church School, then Bishop Byrne Catholic High School and finally, Abraham Lincoln High School where he loved creating banner artwork for the “Home of the Lincoln Bumble Bees”.

After high school, Christopher enlisted in the United States Army and completed his basic training as a Heavy Equipment Operator.    He went on to obtain his certification in Auto Mechanics, earned a U.S. Coast Guard Tankerman’s 1st Class License, and his A.A.S., Degree in Drafting Technology from Lamar University.

At the age of 24, Chris married Loretta Beatrice Heard in Port Arthur, Texas on April 25, 1981.   The newlywed couple relocated shortly thereafter, and has resided in several cities throughout Texas. 

On the day of his sudden departure, Chris had accomplished nearly 13 years of employment with Amani Engineering, Inc., (Houston, Texas), and had been married to his adoring wife, (affectionately known as Flubby), for 35 years. He also enjoyed taking care of his cat, CoCo, loved spending fun times with his family, and engaging in his hobby as an internet webmaster.   

On January 5, 2017, Chris transitioned, preceded by his beloved family members;  father, Udolph Alpough, and brother, Luke Alpough.  He leaves behind his wife, Loretta Alpough, (Missouri City, TX); mother, Barbara Alpough, (Houston, TX); brother, Zachary Alpough, (Port Arthur); sisters, Famia Alpough, (Arlington, TX) , Janis Alpough, (Houston, TX), and Mary Alpough Espree (Ray), (Pearland, TX) , 4 godchildren, 4 paternal uncles/aunts, 10 maternal nieces/nephews, 11 great grand nieces and nephews, a host of first cousins, and countless relatives and friends close and afar, to cherish his memories.

“A Celebration of Life “ Memorial and visitation is scheduled January 12th from 6-9 P.M. at the Center Stage Art Gallery, 3527 Hwy 6, Suite 250 in Sugarland, Texas 77478 for colleagues, friends and family who reside in the Houston area.

The Departure Celebration and Eucharistic Mass will be at 10AM on January 14th, 2017, at Sacred Heart-St. Mary Parish, 920 Washington Ave, Port Arthur, TX. 77640. 8AM Viewing, and 9AM, Expressions. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to the Gabriel Funeral Home, Inc., in Port Arthur, TX.
