Another district championship for Nederland team tennis

- Nederland clinched its 24th team tennis championship Tuesday with a 16-3 win over Port Neches-Groves. Team tennis started in the 1991-92 season, according to longtime Nederland coach Jorge Lopez. “It was a great team effort,” Lopez said. “Kids responded to the task of keeping the tradition alive.” Nederland will play Dayton in the 5A bi-district round at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Lamar University.
