Our dad, Donald Wayne Watson, 80, of Bridge City, passed away on October 21, 2017, in Beaumont, TX.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Chaplain Kevin Trinkle. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on February 28, 1937, he was the son of Samuel A. Watson and Virgie Marie Watson Berwick (Magee). Donald was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a second generation world class pipefitter for Pipefitters Local 195, travelling and working all over the world. Dad enjoyed watching Victory Temple Church on Sundays, and he especially loved cooking, barbequing, and entertaining for his family and friends. He had a passion for life and recording life moments. In his final words to us, dad said, “Follow the Lord, and tell your children about Him.” He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janice Virginia Watson; and special friends, Eileen Nelson, Bobby and Sandra Wiggins, Jimmy Broussard, and Don Cordeau.
He is survived by his children, Ronald Glenn Watson and wife, Yvonne, Vicky Ann Henderson and husband, Dale, Gary Lynn Watson and wife, Michelle, Michael Wayne Watson and wife, Carla, Shawn Samuel Watson, and Mark Anthony Watson and wife, Toi; grandchildren, Tony Alexander Watson, Joshua Glenn Watson, Heather Marie Henderson, Brent Wayne Watson, Mathew Calvin Frazee, Jessica Elizabeth Myers, Jacob Alexander Frazee, Daniel Ryan Watson, Brandon James Watson, Dillon Shane Watson, Seth Andrew Watson, Maxwell Graham Watson, Samantha Jane Watson, Bella Marie Watson, and Liam Donald Watson; great-grandchildren, Taylor Watson, Jett Watson, Jocelyn Watson, Kameryn Henderson, Braylen Collins, Blaine Watson, Bentley Watson, Grayson Watson, Gabriella Watson, Abel Watson, Lindsey Watson, Lainey Watson, Gracelyn Frazee, Scotty Frazee, Ashton Frazee, Brandon Frazee, and Samuel Myers; siblings, David Watson and wife, Debbie, and Rebecca Belcher and husband, Boyd; nieces and nephews, Nikki Martin and husband, Steve, Ty Watson, Jennifer Watson, and R.J. Gardner; life friends, Gene Cordeau and wife, Dorothy, James Stone and wife, Sheila, Joe Bailey and wife, Doris, Darrell Falcon, and Larry Bush.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Watson, Mathew Frazee, Jacob Frazee, Daniel Watson, Brandon Watson, Dillon Watson, Maxwell Watson, Joshua Watson, and Seth Watson.
