Elaine Ann Walters, 82, of Port Acres, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Pelican Bay Assisted Living Center in Beaumont, TX. She was born on June 25, 1935, in Port Arthur to Mabel Lee Hogan McFarlin and Calvin Paul McFarlin.
Elaine was a very talented floral designer and owned Elaine’s Flowers and Gifts in Port Acres for over forty years. She brought joy to many through the years with her flowers: hundreds of prom and homecoming corsages, weddings, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day bouquets, the beautiful sprays she made for friends and family that had lost loved ones and other gorgeous flowers that she arranged. She was a devoted wife to her true love, Harvey, and a loving mother and grandmother. Elaine was an excellent Cajun cook and she loved to cook for her family. She took great pride in her yard and enjoyed working outside in her flowerbeds. Elaine was a hard worker and was always busy doing something. She and Harvey traveled, loved Las Vegas and made many memories at the casinos. They truly enjoyed their retirement years together. Elaine was always the life of every party and we will all miss her greatly.
