SABINE PASS — An investigation is ongoing after two employees were hit in the head with a firearm during a robbery at the only convenience store in Sabine Pass recently.

The incident happened Nov. 18 at the store, located at 5310 Gulfway Drive according to information from the city of Port Arthur.

The suspect, described as a black male, was armed with a handgun when he entered the store and struck both female employees on the head with the firearm. He took cash from the register and fled on foot.
