Lawrence “Noonie” Wright

Lawrence “Noonie” Wright, 68, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 in Humble, Texas.  He was born in New Orleans, LA but lived most of his life in Port Arthur.  He graduated from Lincoln High School in the class of 1968.

He worked in the construction industry as a young man and later retired from PAISD.  Lawrence loved to cook and often volunteered at the Soup Kitchen and Hospitality Center.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one brother Michael Lightfoot, Sr.

Survivors include two sisters, Debra L. Stearnes and Patricia L. Davis; two brothers Nathaniel Lightfoot and Warren Blanchette, Sr.; nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
