PREP FOOTBALL: Memorial’s Hines named Subway Super Team Fans Choice winner

Port Arthur Memorial senior Elijah Hines is among a number of Texas high school football players who won Subway Super Team Fans Choice Awards.
Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, in association with Subway restaurants, announced its Super Team late Thursday. Online voting through Dec. 31 determined the offensive and defensive players on the team, and the top vote-getters not named to the Super Team offense or defense, regardless of position won Fans Choice Awards.
Hines was named District 22-5A and Port Arthur News Super Team offensive player of the year.
Kalon Barnes of Silsbee was the only other Southeast Texan who won a Fans Choice Award.
