Ethel Joubert Tate

Ethel Joubert Tate, 98 was born on May 31, 1919 in Plaisance, Louisiana. Ethel was peacefully called home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 10, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was a resident of Port Arthur for 76 years and attended Salem Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Caulton Tate Jr., son Marshall Tate, and daughter Helen Tate. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children Lou Ester Lewis, Beverly Jones (Floyd), James Tate (Lillie), Ethel Annette Mitchell (Roy), Cornelius Tate, Carol Green (Derrick), Norma Williams, twenty grandchildren, twenty–four great grandchildren, and host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Services will be held at Salem Baptist Church on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
