An adult male and juvenile male were injured during a shooting at Avery Trace Apartments on Saturday.
Police received the call around 11:50 p.m. about shots fired at or near Avery Trace Apartments complex in the 4000 block of FM 365.
When officers arrived they were flagged down outside the complex by an individual who had been shot in the leg, Port Arthur Police Det. Mike Hebert said. The victim was brought to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where he was listed in stable condition.
At the time of the incident he was uncooperative with officers.
A second victim, a juvenile, was found shot in the hand and was brought to The Medical Center of Southeast Texas by private vehicle. His injury was not life threatening.
Police believe the shooting occurred in a breezeway at the complex where they found numerous spent shell casings.
The last shooting at the complex occurred in late February when a man was shot in the foot. A fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man identified as Jevonte Jack occurred in November 2017.
