Delfina Aguilar, 82, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away May 1st, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born September 5, 1935 to Miguel and Melquiades Aguilar.

Delfina was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.

She is survived by her brother Patrick and the late Petra Aguilar, Sisters Juanita and husband Juan Ramon Cuellar, Sr., Rose and the late Gerald Morel. She is preceded in death by her sister Catherine Cortez, brothers Raymond, Santos, Ignacio, Frank and Mike “Jimmy” Aguilar. Delfina loved her family and her loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A visitation of Delfina Aguilar’s family and friends will be Thursday, May 3rd, 2018 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, Texas from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 4th, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 3648 S/Sgt Lucian Adams Dr., Port Arthur, Tx. with Fr. Urbano Saenz, O.S.A, presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

A special “Thank You” to her caregivers, sister, nieces and nephews who helped take such good care of her the past two years.
