Multi-vehicle wreck reported in Orange; no injuries

The Texas Department of Public Safety have responded to a multiple-vehicle wreck at FM 105 and FM 1132 in Orange County.

DPS spokeswoman Sgt. Stephanie Davis said the wreck occurred at 11:45a.m. It involved a truck tractor semi-trailer and a passenger vehicle.

Preliminary reports indicate that a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling southbound on FM 105 followed by a 1997 Freightliner truck tractor semi-trailer.  As the driver of the Chevrolet pickup truck began to stop for a traffic light, his vehicle was rear-ended by the 18-wheeler.

Neither the driver of the Chevrolet, 58-year-old Gunter Meyer Jr. of Vidor, nor the driver of the Freightliner, Mark Martin, 51, of Vidor, were injured in the crash.

This crash remains under investigation and there are no additional details to be released.
