Helen Leviege Williams

Helen Leviege Williams, 94, of Port Arthur passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Helen was born June 14, 1923 in Marksville, Louisiana to the late Viles and Martha Leviege. She loved to cook, dance, listen to Blues music and in her younger days she enjoyed fishing. She was quick-witted and a strong independent woman.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Viles Leviege and Martha Barron Leviege; brothers, Oliver Leviege, Irben Leviege and Allen Leviege; and a son, James Bryant, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Martha Jacquet, Irma Stevenson of Port Arthur; Ralph Bryant of Lancaster, Texas; Mary Farrell of Port Arthur; Sebrenia Williams of San Antonio, Texas; John Williams of Port Arthur; and a brother, Morris Leviege. Helen also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and relatives to cherish her memories.

A visitation of friends and relatives will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 2:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
