Lawrence Thomas Viltz, Sr. 69, of Port Arthur passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX.  He was a resident of Port Arthur for 69 years and was retired from Ameripol-Synpol.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his father, Andres Viltz, Sr. of San Francisco, CA; mother, Dorothy Viltz of Port Arthur, TX; grandmother, Mary Marshall and father-in-law, Amos Harris, Sr. both of Port Arthur, TX; brothers, Andres Viltz, Jr. of Houston, TX, John Viltz of Lafayette, LA, and James Larry Viltz of Port Arthur, TX.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Doris Gale Viltz; son, Lawrence Thomas Viltz, Jr. (Renee), grandchildren, Devaunte Kemon Viltz, Lauren Elise Viltz, and Larnese Renee Viltz; mother-in-law, Lena Harris; three sisters, Delores Landry (John), Carol Trice (Curtis), and Letha Lavalais (Larry); former daughter-in-law, Katina Williams; and a host of devoted god-children, relatives and friends.

A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 12 noon until 2 p.m.  Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at Eastern Star Missionary Baptist Church, 548 15th Street at Austin Avenue, Port Arthur, TX with Rev. Lloyd Scott officiating.  Burial will be in Houston National Cemetery, Houston, TX.
