Ann RichardAnn Richard, 63, a native of Port Arthur, Texas and a resident of Austin,Texas for the last10 years, went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2018.
Ann attended Hughen School, was alongtime member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church of Port Arthur, and a member of LesAcadiens du Texas.
Those who knew Ann will remember her as a woman of prayer, great spirit, strongopinions, and a dazzling smile. Ann loved museums, plays, and liked to create a squabble. She had loving companions and participated in many community activities. Ann enjoyed watching the butterflies and birds in her garden, as well as quietly watching movies with herloving family and giving her brother Keith a hard time.
Ann is preceded in death by her father Martin Richard and is survived by her mother Betty Landry Richard, brother Keith Richard, sister and brother-in-law Gayle Richard Burrows and John Burrows, nephew Thomas Tweedel and his family, step-nephew and niece and their families, her Aunt Shirley Landry Edgerly her family and other cousins. Ann leaves behind a large extended family, as well as many friends, faithful companions, and her petdog Missy. Thanks to all those who have given care and love to Ann. Her dad is happy to hold his little Cajun girl in his arms again.
There will be a rosary for Ann at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 24, evening at 6:30 pm. A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, Thursday at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made t St. Catherine’s School of Port Arthur, Texas.
