The proposition

The proposition passed with 5,321 votes or 66.58 percent of the ballots cast. Dissenting votes were 2,671 votes or 33.42 percent.

The TRE offers no change in homeowners’ tax rate but will help fund necessary expenses.

“We appreciate our taxpayers supporting PNGISD and this move of pennies from the I & S (interest and sinking) to M & O (maintenance and operations) will greatly impact the district,” assistant superintendent Julie Gauthier said.
