Police are still seeking clues in a non-fatal shooting that happened around 6 p.m. Monday in the 1400 block of Florida Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found a 20-year-old male Port Arthur resident with a single gunshot wound to his lower extremities, according to a press release from the Port Arthur Police Department.

The victim was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont with non-life threatening injuries.

PAPD’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
