Patrick A. “Pat” Tremont, 57, of Junction City died February 22, 2019 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan. Visitation with the family will be at 10 a.m., Friday, March 1 at Johnson Funeral Home, with a Memorial Service to follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Mark Hatcher will officiate. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be held at a later date.
Pat was born on September 13, 1961, Port Arthur, Texas to Paul and Emma Jean (Wyatt) Tremont. While serving in the U.S. Army at Fort Riley (1983 to 1989) he met his wife-to-be, Kathy (Myers). They were married on September 7, 1985. Their daughter Mandy (Spellman) was born in February, 1988. Following his service in the Army, he was a professional truck driver. Most recently, he drove for Walmart.
Pat enjoyed fishing, boating, and watching sports, especially Kansas State sports. He took great pleasure in yard work, as evidenced by his meticulously kept lawn. He belonged to the American Legion Post 45. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, particularly his two grandchildren, Addyson and Chase.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy, of the home; daughter Mandy (Jason) Spellman, grandchildren Chase and Addyson Spellman, all of Junction City; his mother, Emma Jean Tremont Ramos of Orange, TX; his sister Sharon Rider of Lake Charles, LA; brother Joe (Debbie) Tremont of Houston, TX; twin brother, Michael, of Lake Charles, LA; brother Tim (Cindy) Tremont of Orange, TX; brother-in-laws, Mike (Tracy) Myers of Clay Center; Larry (Julie) Myers of Concordia, KS and Mark (Connie) Myers of Hartford, KS; and sister-in-law, Beth (Steve) Hudson of Junction City. Additionally, he leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Michael (stillbirth Jan, 1987); his father Paul Tremont, and his sister, Janice Leibson.
Memorial contributions should be designated to the Chase and Addyson Spellman Educational Fund in care of Central National Bank in Junction City.
