Game room felony busts: 3 indicted for organized criminal activity

BEAUMONT — A Jefferson County grand jury indicted three Beaumont residents on Wednesday for engaging in organized criminal activity for reportedly giving cash prizes at a game room.

According to the arrest documents, an undercover Beaumont police detective visited Magic Touch Game room, 3010-B Washington Blvd., on multiple occasions this year, played the 8-liner machines and was paid U.S. currency for winnings. The detective also noted that other customers were paid cash as well.

Chong S. Min, 61, manager of the game room; along with employees Phuong T. Nguyen, 46, and David V. Tran, 27, were indicted on the state felony charges.

 

Other indictments handed down on Wednesday include:
• Raymond Fontenot, 63, of Beaumont was indicted for injury to a disabled individual for a Feb. 25 incident.

  • Michael Brandon Horn, 28, of Port Neches was indicted for felony criminal mischief for a Sept. 11, 2018, incident.
  • Vince Travis Mosby-Cormier, also known as Vincent Mosby-Cormier, Vince Mosby Cormier, Vincent Travis Cormier, Vince Mosby, 29, of Beaumont was indicted for unauthorized use of a vehicle for a Sept. 20, 2018, incident.
  • Joann Robles Alvarez, 53, of Nederland was indicted for unauthorized use of a vehicle for a Nov. 20, 2018, incident.
  • Jeremy O’Bryan James, 33, of Port Arthur was indicted for retaliation and for evading arrest/detention with previous convictions for a March 4 incident.
  • Jacquris Javon Booker, 24, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, tetrahydrocannabinol, for an Aug. 17, 2018, incident.
  • Kimberly Zane Thompson, 40, transient, was indicted for prohibited substances in a correctional facility for an Aug. 19, 2018, incident.
  • Dustin Jacoby Nauls, 31, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an Aug. 11, 2018, incident.
  • Brian Joseph Luquette, 38, of Winnie was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an Aug. 25, 2018, incident.
  • Vicki Lynn Johnston, 45, of Houston was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine for a Jan. 30, 2018, incident.
  • Irwin Hicks, also known as Irwin Hicks Sr., 57, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for a Nov. 8, 2017, incident.
  • Colby Javard Spriggs, 31, of Port Arthur was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for a Sept. 15, 2018, incident.
  • Donnelle Thomas Jr., also known as Dennell Thomas Jr., Donnell Thomas Jr. and Donnell Thomas, 49, of Port Arthur was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for an April 20, 2018, incident.
  • Melody Cole Humphrey, 51, of Nome, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for a June 26, 2018, incident.
  • Joseph Lindan Castillo, 23, of Port Arthur was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for a July 21, 2018, incident.
  • Natalie Taylor Derrick, 38, of Nederland was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for a Sept. 1, 2018, incident.
  • Mia Korynn Hill, 19, of Nederland was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for a Jan 14 incident.
  • Amber Kay Barnhill, 36, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an April 8, 2018 incident.
  • Gerald Michael Broussard, 56, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for an Aug. 22, 2018, incident.
  • Tiffany M. English, 31, of Port Arthur was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for a Sept. 27, 2018, incident.
  • Heath S. Scelerandi, 31, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, for a Feb. 10, 2018, incident.
