The Port Arthur Public Library summer reading program will kick off from 2-3:30 p.m. May 25 at the library, Carolyn M. Thibodeaux, children’s and young adult librarian, said.
Special guest is Julian Franklin, who provides an engaging program about how we can all use our creativity, artistic talents and intelligence to solve everyday problems. The show involves maker space concepts, robots, puppets, magic tricks, books and having fun while we try, fail and then try again; just like every successful creator, inventor, or builder.
Summer Programs are developed to stress the importance of reading.
The library is located at 4615 Ninth Ave.
