Juanita (Woe) Joseph Mathews, 84, was born in Jeanerette, LA on February 6, 1935.  She entered the gates of heaven on June 27, 2019.  She was born to the late Clifford (Snow) Joseph and Lue Bertha Merritt.

Juanita is preceded in death by her son Lawrence Curtis Mathews, Sr.  She is survived by her ex-husband Lawrence Mathews; her sister Lois Batise; daughters Kathy Mathews Landry and Tammy Mathews-Brandon; grandkids Lawrence Curtis Mathews Jr., Korey Landry, Antanique Landry, Markeisha Dorsey, Mallarie Parker, Breana Landry, Dorian Brandon; four great-grand kids; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
