Denise Benjamin

Denise Benjamin passed away Saturday, August 3, at home surrounded by family and friends.

A native of Port Arthur, Texas, she was employed with Ford Motor Credit for over 25 years and Lamar State College (Orange & Port Arthur) for almost 10 years.

Denise attended Guiding Star MBC over 50 years until she joined Zion Hill MBC where she was a devoted member serving on the usher board, women’s ministries, Youth Programs and Hospitality & Pastor’s Aide Committee.

A viewing is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019, at Rock Island Baptist Church with Reverend Eric P. Guidry officiating.

Funeral Services will follow immediately afterwards.

Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.

Floral delivers should be sent to Gabriel Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Warren Benjamin Jr.; son, Warren Benjamin III (Shaneeka); granddaughter, Blaire Benjamin; three Sisters, Myra Casmore, Dauphine Arbuckle (Isaac) and Pamela Thomas; two Brothers, Anthony Bryant Sr. (Sharron) and Wilton Bryant III (Darnika).

She was also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sister-in-law’s, brother-in-law’s and greats.
