Three men steal ATM from store

JEFFERSON COUNTY — Deputies are searching for three men who went inside a store, wrapped a chain around an ATM and used a truck to steal it on Wednesday.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Love’s Truck Stop, 7495 Smith Road where witnesses told them that three men wearing dark clothing and masks entered the store at approximately 4:33 a.m. and committed the crime, according to a news release from the JSCO.
The suspects loaded the ATM in the back of the truck and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was located about 17 minutes later, abandoned in the 10000 block of Brooks Road and the ATM was missing.
The truck was reported stolen from Humble.
The theft of an ATM is a second-degree felony.
The investigation is ongoing.
