Nearly two dozen new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Thursday (June 2) in Port Arthur and Mid-County.
The City of Port Arthur Health Department received confirmation of 13 additional Port Arthur residents who tested positive for coronavirus.
These individuals include seven females, one each between the age ranges of 15-20, 35-40; 50-55; two between 20-25; and two between 45-50.
The other individuals are six males between the age ranges of 5-10, 20-25, 35-40, 45-50, 55-60 and 85-90.
This brings the total to 221 Port Arthur residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 since testing started in Port Arthur.
Groves
The Port Arthur and Jefferson County health departments received confirmation of three additional positive COVID-19 cases in residents of Groves.
The individuals include two females between the age ranges of 20-25 and 40-45 and one male between the age ranges of 25-30.
This brings the total to 48 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 for the City of Groves since testing began.
Port Neches
The Port Arthur and Jefferson County health departments received confirmation of four additional Port Neches residents who tested positive for coronavirus.
The individuals include four females between the age ranges of 10-15; 20-25; 25-30; and 75-80.
This brings the total to thirty-nine 39 Port Neches residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 since testing began.
Nederland
The City of Nederland announced it has received information Thursday that the number of total positive COVID-19 test results increased to 59, which includes two new positive cases.
This means there are 36 reported active cases in Nederland.
