Dolores M. Maceiras, 67, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.
Dolores was born on February 2, 1953 in Port Arthur, Texas to Joe M. and Laura Mae Maceiras.
She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1971 where she was a member of the Red Hussar Drum and Bugle Corp. After graduating from Lamar University in 1975, she began her teaching career in Galveston at Ball High School.
Dolores was a math teacher for forty years and retired from Beaumont I.S.D.
She loved knitting and working in the yard, especially gardening.
Dolores was a loving sister and aunt who was a perfectionist that loved all of her students and fellow teachers.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Joe M. and Laura Mae Maceiras and her sister, Laura Joe Allen.
She is survived by her brother, Joe M. Maceiras II of Nederland and her sister, Mary Ann Broussard (Bobby) of Port Neches, and brother-in-law, Benny C. Allen of Staunton, VA. As Tia, she leaves behind six nieces and nephews, ten great nieces and nephews, and one expectant great nephew.
Included with a host of friends, all will cherish wonderful memories of Dolores.
A gathering of friends and family will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2020, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with a Rosary to follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
