Two teenagers, who police say are innocent bystanders, were shot Thursday during a Port Arthur drive-by.
“Initial investigation revealed that a vehicle drove by the apartment complex and fired multiple shots into the parking lot,” Port Arthur Police Det. Mike Hebert said.
The two juvenile victims were identified by authorities as 15 and 16 years old.
One of the victims received a gunshot wound to his upper body and was listed in serious but stable condition at a local hospital, police said.
The second victim received a gunshot wound to his arm and was listed in stable condition, according to the PAPD.
The shooting took place at approximately 12:45 a.m. Thursday at The Point Apartments, 1401 Poole Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located two gunshot victims.
It is believed both victims were innocent bystanders, Hebert said.
The cause of Thursday’s shooting is under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division of the Port Arthur Police Department.
