Agnes Perkins (Black)

   Agnes (Black) Perkins was born in Jeanerette, LA on March 13, 1919 to the late Mrs. Anna W. Coleman.  She attended Charlton Pollard High School in Beaumont, TX.  She was a former member of the McKinley Avenue Baptist Church before uniting with the First Sixth Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Ransom Howard.  She was a faithful member of the Willing Workers Circle and a member of the Berean Bible Prayer Band.  She was a member of the Silver Moon Social Club of Beaumont and a United States Army Veteran.

   She leaves to mourn her sister Daisy Mae Watherwall; her loving god daughters, Mirika Hill and Angela Hill; her niece Earline Wagner and Geraldine Warner; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; cousins, other relatives and friends.

   Funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2011 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Beaumont, TX under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
