Critter Cam

Feral hogs are typically black but they can come in a variety of colors. Reddish brown is fairly common and occasionally someone will spot a solid blonde hog. This huge boar I photographed at the Swenson Whitetail Ranch a few years ago was spotted with large black and brown patterns all over its body. It all sports some huge tusks. When you see hog heads or skulls mounted, most of the time the tusks are pulled out of the jawbone. More than two-thirds of the tusk is usually in the jawbone. A hog with as much protruding tusk as this one would look massive mounted.
