Man arrested for mall outburst Saturday

BEAUMONT – A man was arrested Saturday evening after Beaumont police said he made angry outbursts at the mall, Beaumont police confirmed to 12News.
Officer Joe Ornelas said the man yelled something to the effect of, “this is what’s happening to America.”
A mall patron yelled that the man had a gun and people started fleeing the mall.
However, the man was not armed and no gun was found at the mall. Additionally, Officer Ornelas said there was no evidence of shots ever being fired.
The man was arrested on outstanding warrants. 12News is still working to get his name and additional information.
