Buelah Faye “Boots” Day Fry, 82 0f Port Neches passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at UTMB Hospital in Galveston. She was born November 26, 1933 in Spurger to the late Frank Arvel Day and Elizabeth Tanton.
Boots was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and was a member of Memorial Church of Christ. She was married to her late husband, Charles Edwin Fry Jr. for 57 years. Boots loved life and had a great sense of humor. She was a beautiful Christian lady with a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed by so many who loved her.
Boots is survived by her son Charles “Eddy” Fry, III (Roxanne) of Groves; daughter Jan Fry Tynes (Gerald) of Mauriceville; grandchildren Charles “Eddy” Fry, IV (Roxie Yowell), Rachel Fry Graham (Brian), Kyra Tynes Resweber (Josh), and Kala Tynes Portie (Chris); sister, Shirley Day Domingue; and 7 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Helen Day Jones, Arvel “Bud” Day, Charlie Day Robert, Hazel “Tom” Day Jones.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday February 24, 2016 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with Mr. David Osteen of Memorial Church of Christ officiating. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 12 to 2 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
