Sue “MawMaw” Parks Bedwell

Sue “MawMaw” Parks Bedwell, 80, of Nederland died Friday, February 26, 2016. She was born on February 14, 1936, in Chester, to Mary Amanda Whitehead and Andrew Guy Parks.
Our mom was a huge Christian influence in all of our lives. She loved each of us unconditionally and was looked upon as our rock. Mom was a servant at heart and always looking out for others. She attended Hillcrest Baptist and loved her church family, especially her friends in her Sunday school class. She was precious in our eyes and we will miss her so much, but rejoice with her knowing she is with our dad, the love of her life and is in the presence of Jesus.
Survivors include her children, Karla Cloud and her husband, Robbie, of Saudi Arabia; Lisa Wappler and her husband, Bobby, of Fannett; and Scott Bedwell and his wife, Carolyn, of Nederland; grandchildren, Jeremy Cloud and his wife, Maddie; Stephanie Williams and her husband, John; Jonathan Cloud; Timothy Wappler and his wife, Brandell; John Paul Wappler and his wife, Chelsea; Colby Bedwell; Amber Bedwell and her fiancé, Aaron Burgette; Joseph Cloud and his wife, Callie; Jessica Cloud and her fiancé, Casey Osborne; and Logan Bedwell; great – grandchildren, Claci, William, and Reese Cloud; Gracie and Addison Williams; Kyler and Brantlee Cloud; Quinn Wappler; and sweet baby Tinley Sue, due to be born in April; and her beloved pet, Hannah.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of sixty years, James Bedwell; and brothers, Allen, Joe, Robert, and Jimmy Parks.
A gathering of Mrs. Bedwell’s family will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3324 Park Drive, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, with her graveside service to follow at 3:00 p.m., at Mount Zion Cemetery, US Highway 287 and County Road 2565, Chester.
