Houston car chase comes to Port Arthur area

According to Jodi Silva, a spokesperson for the Houston Police Department, a car theft that began in Houston ended up in Jefferson County.
At 1:20 p.m., it is not yet clear whether the driver is in custody or whether the car has been stopped though around 1 p.m. official radio chatter indicated that spikes were being placed at Taylors Bayou area.
Silva could not immediately confirm this.
“It began at 11:40 a.m. at 1600 Post Oak in Houston,” Silva said. “It initially came in as an auto theft. At some point we attempted to stop the vehicle and he fled at a high rate of speed on I-10.:
The car is a Dodge Challenger, and Silva could not give a year and she added that authorities do not yet know the identification of the suspect.
