FEMA curtails Saturday hours in Port Arthur, Beaumont

Disaster Recovery Centers in Port Arthur and Beaumont will cease Saturday hours, beginning this week.
The announcement was made Monday by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The DRCs will remain open 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The centers offer in-person support to individuals and businesses in counties included in the Texas federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Harvey and the subsequent floods.
Recovery specialists from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the state and FEMA are at the centers to talk about assistance and to help anyone who needs help with recovery. The Port Arthur DRC is at the following location: Central Mall 3100 E. FM 365, Suite 130 Port Arthur.
The Beaumont DRC is at the following location: Old Uniform Store 3863 Stagg Drive, Beaumont.
Individuals and businesses in counties included in the Texas federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Harvey and the subsequent floods also can get help by:
- Logging into their account at DisasterAssistance.gov.
- Calling the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362 (voice, 711/VRS-Video Relay Service) (TTY:
- 800-462-7585). Multilingual operators are available (press 2 for Spanish).
- Downloading the FEMA app, available for Apple and Android mobile devices. To download visit: fema.gov/mobile-app.
