James A. Horn

James A. Horn, 83, of Beaumont, Texas passed away April 22, 2018.  He was born on December 5, 1934 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late, Oliver Horn and Dimples Brown Horn.  He worked for ARCO in the Human Resources Department and he served his country proudly in the U. S. Army.

James is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Howell Horn of Beaumont; his sister-in-law, Johnnie Smith of Nederland; his nieces, Charlotte Wilson of Alabama, Charmayne Pierce of Nederland and Rhonda McKinley of Nederland; his step-son, Ralph Booth of Memphis, TN; his step-daughters, Rozanne Blount of Beaumont and Roxanne James of Alabama; a very special loving friend, Sherry Broussard; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jean “Dusty” Horn; his son, Scott Horn; and two brothers, Rodney and Delward Horn.

A special thanks to Lanell Fields, Aredasha Lewis, Rhonda Ford and Verna Jenkins-Kitty for their loving care. The family would also like to thank Harbor Hospice for their care.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with a graveside service to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches with Rev. John Morgan officiating.
