Mary Helen Smith, 86, of Port Neches passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Magnolia Manor in Groves, Texas.

Mary was born August 13, 1932 in Winnsboro, Louisiana.  She was a resident of Port Neches for 45 years and a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Reverend Shane Baxter officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 7, 2019 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Charles Smith, Jr.

Surviving relatives include her daughter, Philippa Smith of Houston; sons, Basil Smith III and wife Nikki of Port Neches,  Anton Smith of Port Neches,  Albert Smith and wife Jennifer of Groves;  sisters, Mona Barbay of Newton,  Annie Comiskey and husband Bill of Port Neches, Antoinette Dupree and husband Leon of Groves; grandchildren, Jacob Smith, Jonah Smith, Emily Smith, Caleb Smith, Jordan Sprinkle and husband James, Jamie Curtis, Johna Swift-Thomas, and Jessica Stephenson; 4 great-grandchildren.
