Early voting in Jefferson County has concluded for Saturday’s (May 4) uniform election to elect school board trustees and appraisal district directors.

The ballot

• Port Arthur Independent School District Board of Trustees.

Voters can vote for none, one, two or three candidates. There are three seats up for election.

Candidates include Julio Delgado, Taylor Getwood, Nina Stella, Dianne Brown, Debra Ambroise and Brandon Bartie

• Jefferson County Appraisal District Board of Director, Place 1

Candidates include Terry Metreyeon and Vernon G. Durden

• Jefferson County Appraisal District Board of Director, Place 3

Candidates include Larry Weston and Steve Megas

This isn’t the only election in the near future.

There is also the Republic Primary run-off between Dade Phelan and David Covey.

Early voting in the primary run-off is from May 20 to May 24 for the May 28 election.
