NEDERLAND — A 24-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday after allegedly bringing a metal t-post into a school and tussling with a school resource officer and assistant principal.

The “disgruntled parent” entered Hillcrest Elementary School, 2611 Avenue H., at approximately 3:10 p.m. Wednesday as students were exiting the building, according to information from Nederland Independent School District.

Nederland Police Chief Gary Porter said a school resource officer and the assistant principal confronted the woman and was able to get the t-post away from her before a scuffle ensued.
